How To Setup Your Cogeco Email On The Ipad 2
The Ipad 2, what a wonderful device. Here we walk you through the process of configuring your Cogeco email address on the Ipad 2.
Make sure you know your Cogeco email address and password before starting this tutorial. Please contact Cogeco technical support if you do not have this information or if it has been forgotten. Once you have your Cogeco email address and password in hand the rest of this process is as simple as following the below tutorial.

1. Select the “settings” icon from the main Ipad 2 screen.

2. Choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” and then choose “Add Account”

6. Enter a name for your account, your Cogeco email address and password. Select “Next”

7. The incoming and outgoing mail server information should auto populate. If you need to enter the server information manually, use : Incoming: pop.cogeco.ca Outgoing: smtp.cogeco.ca. Click on Save
Note: If you have a 3G Ipad 2 and plan on using your Cogeco email account when you are away from your home internet connection, you will need to use the smtp server of your 3G provider. Rogers = smtp.rogerswirelessdata.com. Bell: mail.1xbell.ca. Contact your provider if it differs from Rogers or Bell.
8. You will see your account being verfied. If you receive an error you have entered your cogeco email address or password incorrectly.

9. Choose “Yes” here. Cogeco does not use SSL.

10. Account is successfully created.

11. From the main Ipad 2 screen select the mail icon to access your newly added Cogeco email account on your Ipad 2.

Note: For 3G ipad you may need to do the following, if you are using your 3G providers smtp server and plan on accessing your email when using 3G service and not your Cogeco internet connection:
1. Goto “settings”
2. Select “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
3. Choose your Cogeco email account that you just created
4. Select “Advanced”
5. Select “Authentication”
6. Select “MD5 Challenge Response” If that does not work choose “password” instead of “MD5 challenge response.”
