Cogeco Email Setup – Microsoft Outlook 2007
Here we will walk you through setting up your Cogeco email address in Microsoft Outlook 2007. These steps should are fairly similar in all previous versions of Microsoft Outlook.
You will need to know your Cogeco email address and the password for your account to successfully complete this task. If you do not know or are unsure of either of these we would recommend you contact Cogeco’s technical support to confirm this information.
1. Open Microsoft Outlook by clicking on the Windows Start button -> All Programs -> Microsoft Office -> Microsoft Office Outlook.

2. Click on Tools and then select Accounts Settings

3. You will now see this screen

4. Click on New

6. Please fill in the required information -> Your name (can be anything you want), Your Cogeco Email address, The password for your Cogeco email address.
7. Make sure there is a check mark beside “Manually configure server settings or additional server types.” and then click Next

8. Select Internet E-mail and then click Next

9. You will now see this screen

10. Enter all required information. Your name, Cogeco email address, Account type needs to be POP3, The incoming mail server should be pop.cogeco.ca, the outgoing mail server should be smtp.cogeco.ca, Your full email address should be in the User name field, your cogeco password and then select if you would like to remember your password when you login to your account. If you do not select the remember password check box you will need to enter yoru Cogeco email password every time you enter your account in Outlook. Click Next

11. You should see this screen. Click Finish

12. You should be brought back to this screen. Click Close

13. Now you should be brought back to the main Microsoft Outlook screen. Click on the Send/Receive button at the top and you should be able to receive your mail.
